You don't say if Dad has some mental decline after his stroke. If so, then yes its normal to become agitated. What are the husbands doing that seems to bring it on. Are they doing things Dad feels he can do on his own even though he can't. Men who were raised in the 30s, 40s, and 50s, feel like they aren't men if they can no longer perform the duties they used to.
Thank you for your response. He has never had a stroke. My dad is super independent but since the pain he has had in his leg he gets very agitated with them. If they talk to him he seems to want to be oppositional and if they just dont talk she gets mad that they dont want to give him the attention he feels he deserves. I know this because he told us this.
