Where can I find assistance (financial) from social security for in-home companion for my husband?

What benefits are available from his social security?

I think you may mean Medicare. Medicare is a health insurance and doesn't pay for companions or caregivers. If you are low income, Medicaid may help but there has to be a Medical reason. Your county Office of the Aging maybe able to help or point you in the right direction.

You can use your husbands social security income to pay a companion. But social security does not offer any assistance programs, they won’t pay for a companion or caregiver.

There are no social security benefits for home care. Medicare may provide some in home care hours if medically necessary, but not for a companion. A companion is something that would have to be self paid.
