How can I receive payment for the care I am giving to someone who is terminally ill on hospice from thier insurance?

Sarahmusser83 Jun 2018
No I am just a caregiver and yes they are covered by Medicare and Medicaid. Someone told me to go to the local PADD office and they may know.

This would be an agreement between you and your friend. Are you a CNA, LPN or RN?

Sarah, does this person have a hospice company also providing care, or is that your role? Medicare will pay for certain aspects of hospice; there's no reason why you should be doing it for free.

Or is Medicare not involved? If not, you'd probably have to contact the person's insurance carrier and determine what's covered, as well as whether or not it will pay for care provided by someone not in a hospice agency or company.
