My dad just passed away and is on Medicaid. Can they claim his term life insurance policy?

I just read that term insurance does not have a cash in value. If it did Medicaid would have had it cashed in for Dads care. The beneficiaries will get the policy. And, they are not required to pay any of Dads bills with it.

Not unless his estate was named as a beneficiary.
