How can I convince my mother to have my dad screened for dementia?
My mom complains about my dad's grumpiness and his memory issues but refuses to have him screened. I think he needs mediation to help with his feelings of uselessness and memory loss.
Why does your mom refuse to support your dad being seen by a doctor? Is there some denial there on her part?
If your mom is competent you can't force her to do anything she doesn't want to do however this concerns your dad's health, not hers. Would she let you take your dad to the doctor?
