Any experience with WWII veteran's spouse benefit?
My mother is the spouse of a WWII vet. I am having a hard time finding help for her, she is 96. Is there a number that I can call? I have several and they have sent me in circles for months.

Blackwell, contact the closest VA hospital and ask if there are representatives of service organizations available. VFW and American Legion sometimes have offices at the VA hospital. Start with them; they help Veterans (and I assume widows) get assistance.
Michigan also has a state Veteran's office which was very helpful, and a local county office which prepared and filed the basic health care application for my father. So check with both your state and county.

Check the VA website to see if the dates dad served make mom eligible for benefits. If so, start paperwork online then maybe you will get reliable information.
