I received money this month I will report to Medicaid: will that affect this month's eligibility or next?

How do I report this? Since I got the money this month and last month received the Medicaid? And if this means losing the Medicaid - will this month still be covered? I had to go to the ER in an ambulance last week. If I have the bills come back on me I have no means to pay for them. I understand I have to tell them, but can you tell me if this month's bills would be affected by this being given this month. I cannot afford an elder law attorney.
