Does a medicare supplement plan cover chemo co-payments?

Katiekate Oct 2017
Go read the policy.

This is going to be insurance carrier by carrier. If the policy isn't specific enough...call them

I really don't know. Do you have a supplement plan now? If not, I would do some research and call issuers of the supplement plans and ask them specifically. Or if it's on their websites, copy the information as it's a representation of what they offer. If you do get a supplement plan and coverage is denied, you would have evidence inferring false representation, although that's no comfort if it doesn't cover chemo payments.

I think a better and more reliable source would be your oncologist. She/he should have a billing specialist on staff (or contracted out) and would know which plans cover chemo payments.

Another option is to contact a local Gilda's Club; they might have some information on that.

But I think your oncologist's office is the best bet, as they'll have seen what's covered by which plans.

Good luck.
