Who do you list for your employer when you have been a caregiver for your parents and now you are updating your resume?

I cared for mom for four years and listed "self" as employer with the wide variety of responsibilities for health care and home Bill management. Good luck. It will take awhile unless you want to be a caregiver. It took me seven months to find work in my field but had to go to a less competitive area to do it. More that 450 miles from home in that position for a year then came back much closer to home. That was what I had to do to return to my career.

During one period of my unemployment I listed a break between jobs as "job seeker" and it worked, at that time. But who knows what will happen in todays market.
