At what point can Hospice enter the picture?

Whenever your loved one qualifies. You can have a doctor request it or you can call a hospice and they will do an evaluation. My mom qualified because she has Alzheimer's, was in stage 7, can no longer do any daily living tasks, had a seizure and was losing weight... At the time down to 95 lbs. She has been on hospice for 7 months... They do a requalification every 3 months. Hope this helps.
