Medicare you get when you become 65. Its an individual thing. Can also receive if on Social Security Disability. Medicaid is a different thing. If the couple are not married may not be a problem. Married is different. You get Medicaid because of ur income. My nephew received it living with his Grandmom. I think it depends on the consequencies. Should ask Medicaid.
