My wife has taken a POA against me. What rights do I have left?

Llamalover47 Mar 2017
The POA has to be signed and notarized by the applicant, who must sign the doc and present photo ID.

If it is a POA and you are competent, you can change it at any time. Your phrase "against me" is confusing. Only you can grant a POA.

pamstegma Feb 2017
Ed, you still have all your rights. A POA is someone who carries out your wishes.

NYDaughterInLaw Feb 2017
Ed - do you mean that your wife chose someone else for her POA?

jeannegibbs Feb 2017
You have to sign papers to appoint someone POA. You can change that someone at any time. The POA is to act on your behalf. You still have all the rights of any competent adult.

Is there a specific issue that you are in conflict about?

pamzimmrrt Feb 2017
More information please,, normally YOU grant the POA to someone. Do you mean guardianship?
