How do you prevent fecal contamination of the vagina and urethra on bedridden patient that has loose stools?

The patient is on tube feeding and must stay at about a 30 degree angle. When her bowels move the stools are loose and sometimes it gets up to the vagina and urethra. Does anyone know of a way to prevent this from happening?

We use a heavy layer of barrier cream, I've never noticed any problems with feces actually being forced up into the vagina or urethra, it seems to be all external.

Preventable, no, cleanable with a proper peri-wash, yes.
