MCompton Asked September 2016

Power of attorney is not respecting the wishes of my father.

How can I make decisions that he would have wanted? He signed it when he was very medicated.

MCompton, you can complete your introduction by posting a comment in the box below if you would like to. Your profile explains that your father has cancer and is currently in hospital. Could you please tell us a little more, such as:

who has POA for your father?
what sort of decisions are needing to be made now?
in what ways do you disagree with the POA's point of view?
do you want to challenge the validity of the POA formally?

Your father can change POA at any time, if he is mentally competent. Is he? Does he want you to be his POA?
