Does the DPOA have to supply the person they are helping with the information about their finances?

My mother still has access to all her numbers. When she asks about her money I reassure her that she has enough to last if she doesn't have to go in a nursing home. I don't discuss the details with her, because it would be more information than she could take in. Churchmouse's advice is exactly what I would have given.

Broadly, yes. It's still that person's money, and therefore very much his/her business. If the person you are helping has passed the point of its having any meaning, though...

Is your Loved One becoming distressed or anxious because s/he is unable to understand what is happening?

Are you able to summarise the information in a simpler, clearer format?
