Are there any signs that I should look for in mom when starting Namenda?

Mom has been taking Aricept for the past couple years and over the past couple months there has been a subtle decline in her memory and skills. Went to the Neurologist today and after his tests, he also noticed slight changes too.

She will now be going on Namenda and know things cannot be stopped but just wondering if there will be any noticeable changes with her or just subtle things.

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated

Thanks for your input. I am a part time care-giver for her at home, so guess I should speak with the pharmacist for more detail and will make sure to read the info sheet very close. I know there is no cure, but anything to help slow things down, the better.

Read the patient information sheets that come with the Rx. If she is in a facility, talk to the head nurse, too, ask about all the meds and interactions. Pharmacists are also a wonderful source of information, they see it all.
