What meds are you giving your loved one for dementia and how many MHz?

My mom has dementia In the beginning she was hallucinating so dr put her on abilify and lexapro. It was 2mg of abilify and 10 of lexapro. I decided over the years to stop the abilify as it it dangerous. She seems to be doing better. Less agitated and can sleep at night with 7.5 of temazapan. It has tAken me quite a while to get her down to almost .5 mg while increasing her lexapro to 25 mg. she no longer has hallucinations which was the reason for putting her on it. Wondering what others are tKing. Thank you

She is still on Aricept and Namenda XR 28 mg, and we're currently involved with a drug trial of something similar and by the same manufacturer of Nuedexta (smaller dosage, no improvement on this one). Was finally given Ativan 0.5 mg to use very sparingly, for which I'm grateful, but I prefer using an her old prescription of mirtazapine (half of a very small tab) when she's very aggressive and/or angry, which lets us both have a good night's sleep.

My Mom doesn't take any per say dementia drugs..

She is on Risperdol 1mg 2x daily for anxiety.. We just increased from .50mg 2x daily.. Her constant rocking and pacing has stopped. Thank goodness..

She sleeps much better too.
