How does a person find out if there are funds available for a service dog?

Try contacting Assistance Dog United Campaign. Google it! They do a voucher program for things (chow, kibble, vets, equipment) for working & currently in- service dogs. So you dont get cash but instead a voucher based on specific need of your animal. They seem to have a network of vendors & suppliers across the US that accept their vouchers (like vets) or ship the dog foodstuffs, heart meds, etc. I think a couple of the big foundations (like Doris Duke foundation, Rbt Wood Johnson) support ADUC.

Good luck!

No they are not funded by anyone. You do your own fundraiser if you can. You will need about $25,000.

I'm sorry, the link doesn't work for some reason ???

Go to the upper right corner of your screen, you will see SEARCH SITE. Type in "service dogs" and search.

I see from your profile that your husband has Alzheimer's/Dementia and it is fairly current. Here is a good article about service dogs for those who have memory issues that I found on the website https://www.agingcare.com/articles/guide-dogs-for-people-with-alzheimers-153469.htm

As for funds, I would suggest you contact the Alzheimer's website.
