My mother-in-law is living in an assisted living and is running out of money. She is not ready for nursing home, so she could get Medicaid?

What is an in between answer that she could afford on her $900.00 social security income. She can not live alone.

Yes. Her house was sold quite some time ago. We have been taking care of her for 15 years and have stretched her money as far as we can. She has about 6 months of money left for the assisted living.

Check with your Mom-in-law's State Medicaid office to see if her State has a waiver that can be used to help pay for some of the Assisted Living. I assume if prior she had lived in a house, that the house has been sold?
