Is a trust supposed to be notarized?

There's was a signing of a trust today. There was no notary. His name was not given or what his legal profession is because he's a family friend lawyer. How can a signing of a trust be done in 15 minutes? well with a little late and when I showed up that lawyer practically ran to his truck and split

Most lawyers are also notaries. I thought you were banned from the facility?
