My husband with Alz. sleeps all the time. Is this part of the process?

It is not his medications.  He sometimes falls asleep while eating. He sleeps 12 hours at night and then gets up, and dresses and naps all day. Doesn't have much appetite, which is understandable He plays with his food, napkins and takes about 3 hours to eat, which is why he falls asleep while eating.
I hate to push him to eat, as he says, " What is the rush", and it only aggregates him.

Thanks for that. It's slow today. Surprised you haven't had more answers. While you're waiting for them, a Google Alzhimers Tired All The Time. Looks like some good information out there.

He isn't taking anything that would effect his energy or cause him to sleep.

Why are you so sure it's not his meds?
