In process of getting Mom on Medicaid. It seems she can no longer have a private room unless I pay the up-charge. Any way around this?

I cannot afford the up-charge as I am not currently working. Have had to quit several jobs to make sure mom is taken care of.

You must pay the difference as mentioned above...and if the resident fails to get along with roommate, a request to be moved can be submitted.

No, on Medicaid you get a semi-private room. Usually the roommates get along OK and bond with each other. It's not a bad thing. My sister loves her roommate.
