My mother-in-law sometimes calls us 200 times a day on her cell phone. Any advice?

She doesn't remember she's already called.

You describe your mother as having general age related decline. This behavior seems above and beyond that. I wonder if it is time for a new assessment.

Meanwhile, remove your number from her phone, as geewiz suggests. Explain what is going on to the AL staff. Perhaps it would help to set a time of day when you call her. If she becomes used to getting your call every day at 3:00 perhaps that would calm her obsession to call you. Perhaps. But I still recommend a medical assessment.

Do you visit often? If so, delete your number from the contacts pages on her phone. Certainly, the AL has your contact info .

How does she remember to re-charge her cellphone? With 200 calls a day, bet the charge runs out quickly.
