How do I deal with my Mom (86) with some dementia, depressed, uncooperative and kind of acting like child?
She is living with me , I do pretty much everything for her. Lately she has become very depressed. Saying she really doesnt want to live anymore. Has become somewhat child like and very resentful toward me, I am not sure how to deal with this.
The angry phase has come to greet you. Ask her MD for an anti-depressant and anxiety meds if she is anxious. Learn to walk away when she is mean. Leave the house if you have to, draw your boundaries as you would with a child. You are the parent now.
