Will Blue advantage pay for sitters if patient is home?

I have a relative (senior citizens) that is staying with me However when I need to run errands will blue advantage pay for a sitter for 3-4 hours a day and on Sunday

Blue Advantage only covers medical things -- doctor's visits, medications, hospital stays, tests. Elder sitters have to be paid out of pocket unless you're able to find some local program. I doubt there is any program that will cover daily respite care, but you may qualify for help a few hours on one day. Freqflyer's suggestion is good. Your local agency should know of programs that can help. Some churches will also help with a little help, though I don't think it would be daily. We understand how you feel. Many of us here have the same problem going when we need to.

Can that senior citizen pay for a sitter from their social security or retirement fund? Check with your local Council on Aging to see what is available in your area that could help you.
