Is an attorney necessary to change a POA?

Mom says she wants the change but won't pay lawyer as her funds are too low. Sister has given no address and moved from Michigan to Oregon so is no longer available. I have been the caregiver so we think I am a better choice.

You don't need an attorney, but you do need to know what type of POA form to use, and her signature should be notarized.
