My husband (60) with younger onset Alzheimer's, has lost all interest in life. Any advice?

He gets up at 11 in the morn and then just sits there. not respond when I talk to him. If I say Hello he then answers. What do I do? Please help.

I am sorry to read what your husband and you are going through. What your husband is doing sounds so much like my mother. She stays in bed all morning, then sometimes gets up and sits with her face in her hands. I know it is hard when they can't make sense of things. I don't know if there is anything we can do except keep carrying on and be there for them. I'm just sorry that it is your husband who is ill and that you are going through this at such a young age. The only advice I have is try to take care of him the best you can and make sure you take care of yourself. Talk to his doctors about what he is doing and maybe they will have ideas about what to try. Some people are helped with antidepressants, so it may be worth a try.
