How can I pay my brother for watching Dad while I'm at work?

My Dad has dementia and lives with me. He has a pension and Social Security. My dad retired from GM and gets an income combined with Social Security for about $3,300 a month.

"How" as in how are you going to get the money? Dad should pay him, so pay through his account.

Is your brother good with your dad? Does he understand dementia? How do both men feel about this arrangement? How does it happen that your brother is available while you work? (Retired, disability, works different shift, etc.)

Another option might be Adult Day Health program, where Dad could go while you are working. They usually send a van or bus and provide a meal.

Pay him minimum wage for your area, with a signed contract, and do the payroll taxes for domestic workers. See IRS. gov for details.
