Do I need a Colorado version of power of attorney?

Just moved my Mom to assisted living in Denver, from Tucson. My sister (in NY) and I both have financial and medical POA issued in Tucson. Do we need to do this again in Colorado?

We also have a living will and her regular will. Do these have to be redone as well?

Thanks for any help,

Beth

I would call an Elder Law Attorney as each State has their own laws. Most attorneys will give you free advice for the first 30 minutes of their time. They could quickly tell you yes or no.

On this website here, go to the upper right hand corner and click on "Money and Legal" on the blue bar.... then click on "Elder Law"... there is a place where you can put in the Denver zip code and search for an Elder Law attorney.
