Can caregivers take rights away from elders spouse?

my moms step children recived guardeanship of her husband now they have planted themselves in the room retirement room and make it difficult for her to visit her husband without them torementing her so she started driving by to make sure they werent there so there wouldnt be a sean usualy about 7:00 pm they would leave and she would get to visit. tonight she got escorted out because his children baned visiters after 7:00 pm. broke my moms heart and her husband was very upset.

The nurses are very supportive, and sorry for the fact that they had to ask her to leave but the son is guardian and there isn't any thing they can do about it. There is a court date, but, mom got a call from her lawyer, yesterday saying that the trial has been postponed to November. Mom can call and check to see if they are there.they spend more time with him now than they ever had before.

Can she call nurses station before she visit HER HUSBAND....I do totally agree with Maggie! "What the #### is wrong....." I bet they are both very lovely couple!! Does she have any her right as HIS WIFE!!!!!???

Oh, my heart goes out to her. I don't need the back story; it's enough to know that she's his wife and her step children have gone far out of their way to block her visits. Sooo sad. And I know how badly you must feel for her. When our moms hearts break, so do ours.

I'd like to think that they didn't do that intentionally to keep your mom away, because I'm betting, with guardianship, they could simply ban mom from visiting him all together.

I guess what I might try is checking the parking lot in the morning hours and see how that worked.

What the **** is wrong with people??
