Your profile says you're caring for your mother, who's had a stroke. Do you mean your son would be living with you and your mother?

Our apt complex is age restricted, but they allow a guest to stay for two weeks at a time with a week off in between.

Even if it's an age-restricted community, sometimes there are exceptions for someone who's providing care.

I don't see why not unless, like above you are in a restricted community or apartment. He may also be able to receive payment for assisting you. Contact your local Area Agency on Aging or Bureau of Senior Services to ask about services.

If he wants to he probably could, unless you live in some kind of community restricted to those age 55 and up.
