Can more than one person be assigned on a Durable Power of Attorney?

I was helping Mom fill out her Living Will and the Durable Power of Attorney. She wants to assign all three of her daughters as the Durable Power of Attorney; is that okay (legal)?

Yes, our attorney wrote both documents for my sister so that my father and I shared authority, jointly, with either of us having the power to act alone on behalf of my sister's needs.

Successors were also identified to serve jointly in the event both my father and I were deceased or unable to act. My father's estate planning documents are written the same way.
