Mom's dr. just prescribed exelon patch for PD dementia. Has anyone out there had success with it?

Thank you.

Many of the people in my local support group have experience with exelon for their loved ones. Like every other drug we discuss at our meetings. come have had marvelous results, and others not so much. I agree with Pam -- look up some of the other discussions on this drug on this site. But basically the only way to know if it will work for Mom is to have Mom try it. Ask her doctor what you should watch for, how long it should take to be effective, if there are any side effects that demand immediate attention and if there are some you should just watch and that might go away.

A very good source of information about PDD is the Lewy Body Dementia Organization website (LBDA.org) (Parkingson's Disease with Dementia is one of the Lewy Body Dementias.)
