Sheriann Asked April 2014

I'm an independent care provider contractor. I'm concerned about getting sued if something should happen on my watch. What can I do?

Please advise as to what you would suggest I do.

Any business providing a service that has potential liability for clients or employees should have good insurance. To tell the truth, I wouldn't hire a company to come into the house unless they were licensed and insured. It puts the client at risk if anything should happen to an employee in their home. And it puts you at risk if anything should happen to the home or client during your watch. Talk to your insurance company.

i spent half my life worried about liability. screw that . ill work on your car nowdays and i hope you total it on the way home. you can go thru life with no risk but it aint going to be much of a life.. sue me, i have 5 beard berets and the same amount of bandanas. guess an agressive enough court could sieze my roaches but thats a bit farfetched..
