Can I claim my Mom as a dependent if I'm paying for her in-home care or NH but we do not live in the same state?

She has cancer, is on hospice, but is not eligible to receive benefits for 24/7 care. She will be paralyzed soon and should receive some benefits to help pay for in home care. I will cover the remainder, is that portion tax deductible?

No. Home care can encompass many things, and the IRS would only allow her to deduct medical care expenses, not cooking and cleaning. If she was extremely poor and you were paying for more than half her support, you might claim her as a dependent. Once she needs 24/7 care, she should be in a skilled nursing facility. Hospice has those.
