Has anyone had any luck finding volunteers to drive?

This week I discovered it costs about $100.00 to go to the doctor from my new home. By the time I pay to have someone stay with my husband and pay for a cab it really adds up. The senior bus is cheaper but involves a whole lot of wait time which adds more caregiver time. Id appreciate suggestions. I cant afford this. We have a lot of appointments. Thank you for your help.

My parents joined a Medicare HMO which offers transportation, door to door for all doctor visits. If there is something like that in your area perhaps you would like to check it out. At first I did not like the doctors, but my parents did. When dad had an amputation and needed help getting to appointments this was a god send.
Their medical care has been good and the logistics are excellent.

The first place I'd check into is your church. Assuming you DO have a church family, that's where I'd start asking for help for anything. ♥
