You need to get a thorough physical and eye exam. It could be as easy as needing new eyeglasses (if you wear them) or an inner ear infection. Or it could be something more serious. Only your doctor can help you figure it out. Keep us posted on what you find out if you feel like it.

I agree about the complete physical. Also mention to the doctor about losing balance and falling. My father was about 81 when he started losing his balance. He would correct it. Then months later, he started falling and had a very difficult time getting up from the ground. Even when he got on his hands and knees, he still couldn't get up. We just thought it was "old age." Then, when he was helping me with mom in changing her pampers, he couldn't GRIP the blanket. His hands wouldn't cooperate with what he wanted. Again, we thought it was old age and arthritis. Unfortunately, we both missed that these were signs of a stroke...until he finally had the stroke. Fortunately, the caregivers came when he was having the stroke, and called 911.

I am NOT saying that you're having a stroke. Only that it would be best to seek medical advice. Father refused to go. It's better to be safe and prevent any major health issues before it gets worse. For all we know, you could be having imbalance due to ear wax blockage. Just be safe and seek medical advice.

I'm sorry that you are having this experience. What you can do will depend on what is causing this. I hope you will have a complete physical exam and discuss this with your doctor. Falling can have serious consequences, so do not delay. Using a walker or can may help, but don't just buy one without medical advice.

Good luck to you!
