Will medicaid/medicare pay for a 2nd hospital bed?

dad had a hospital bed that medicaid or medicare paid for but after his admission to a nh we gave it to a disabled lady who couldn't afford to buy one. he received it about 2 yrs ago. He is now being discharged from his nh and If medicaid or medicare won't provide him with another one I will have to pay for one from my own resources. Just wondering if anyone knows the answer to this. thanks
