Instead of my parents going into a an assisted living community we hire home health aides through agencies such as right at home or nursecore for 3 to 7 hours per day. Are these considered medical expenses
The total out of pocket health care costs have to exceed a certain percentage of income in order to be deductible. I think unreimbursed home health expenses would be deductible...but I can't say for sure.
