I'd check with local churches and see if they will put up a notice. You may want to see if your local community center will do the same. Please check applicants out very carefully before you take them in. It sounds like a wonderful situation for the right people, but you don't want dishonest families or impossible roommates. As much of a pain in the behind as Craig's List is to deal with, this is actually where I see the most of these types of ads. I'm sure you'll know to be careful of the predators and spammers if you post in there, though.

I would also strongly recommend careful screening for suitability. Make sure you have adequate support staff. Good luck.
