If a sibling fights a beneficiary who pays the attorney fees?

I am sole beneficiary on my moms annuity. She has other stock that will go to probate, but beneficiary funds go directly to benefactor. If someone wanted to contest this who would pay the contestors attorney fees?

When someone takes it upon themselves to take any sort of legal action, the person contesting would have to pay the lawyer. But then you might require a lawyer to support your side of this; and you would have to pay yhour lawyer.

To be on the safe side and be proactive, perhaps you could consult with a lawyer on a one time basis to ease your mind as to what legal ramifications, if any will come from all this. Most times, a lawyer will provide one hour of consultation for no charge.
