My husband is 73, with severe diabetes 3 insulin shots per day and COPD final stages. He can't be left alone. can I receive pay to care for him?

The short answer is NO. Is he a Veteran? If so, review the Veterans web site www.va.gov, they have benefits that can help if he qualifies. The “bitch” of caregiving is we do not get paid to care for a loved one directly with cash. If your husband has a long term care policy, that may help, contact your local Area on Aging for help and advice. Have you contacted the local Senior Center, they should have some resources to help as well.
