Does Medicare cover geriatric assessment?

Elderlaw attorney told us we should first have complete geriatric and geropsych assessment for MIL, then hire geriatric care manager to help put together overall plan for her. Does anyone know if Medicare will cover the geriatric assessment?

Possibly. Try going to www.medicare.gov and type in the search words. They have a place to check what is covered.

My mother's assessment was covered while she was in the hospital but it was not a thorough one.
An extensive one I'm not sure about.
