How does a psychologist determine if an elder is incompetent?
What tests do they use? How do they know? I believe my mother in law is competent but some of her children do not. She does not like how her current POA and trustee are handling her affairs. What can I do to help her?
You will likely need several doctors and the court system to have her declared incompetent. I'd suggest that you check with the attorney who drew up the POA, or another elder law attorney or estate attorney for guidance. Good luck, Carol
