What is the best way to tell an elder they are going to a nursing home if they have early moderate dementia? My husband and I differ on it.

How about, "Mom, I love you. I am concerned about your medical needs and health. You need skilled nursing asssistance that I am not trained to provide. I don't want to mess up. I'll stand by you. I just want to be sure that your care is what you really need. I'm going to see try to find you quality nursing care and will keep you posted."

First of all, why a nursing home? What about an adult foster care situation instead? I realize nursing homes are much better then they were when my grandma had to go to one, but still.....
