Mom is 88 & in rehab from broken hip. She can't go home alone so we're looking at assisted living, but might hire 24/7 care at home. What's the best way for her to get the proper care?

Assisted living rarely offers the kind of care she needs, so you'd likely have to pay extra to have an in-home agency come into the AL to help her. The same could be done in her home, but AL would have other advantages.

If she needs 24/7 care for long, a nursing home may be a better option, but trying AL along with an in-home agency to provide the needed care, could be workable for awhile.
