If you live in the States, see If your spouse qualifies for Medicaid, the State might allow a trained Caregiver come in to help for a couple hours. Also check to see if your State is one of those States that has a “Cash and Counseling” program to help you out, it‘s worth looking into. Note that each State has their own rules, regulations, and programs. However, most of them don't pay spouses as caregivers. Look to the right for Recent Discussions, and usually near the bottom at right "caregiver searches." On the search line for this site, search "get paid to" and you will come up with many discussions about this. Bottom line, almost impossible.

if your husband is a vet, there is Aid and Assistance benefits that has money available to pay for caregiver hours, but NOT pay YOU probably.
