If my husband receives Aid and Attendance, can I get paid to care for him or do we have to be seperated or divorced?

As the spouse you can not get paid to provide his care. He should be receiving the aid and attendance benefit with a dependent, however.
You can have an adult child provide the care and pay this child for the care services. This may increase the amount of benefit he is receiving.

Yes you can get help from the Veterans. If your husband was a Vet you have benifits out there. for you. Look up the web site called VA aid and Attendance you can get help. We get it for my mother and as a couple you can get up to I think 2,000.00 per mth. You have to provide information re his military service and fill out papers but I am sure your family can help you. I was put in touch with this with a web site called " A Place For Mom"
they can help you and your husband. If he was not a Vet you can contact your senior center to see about assistance. Good Luck and God Bless.
