If your elderly parent is disabled do they receive a tax deduction every year?

My elderly father received a tax deduction last year because he is disabled. So does that mean that he will be receiving one again this year too?

The IRS Code provides numerous benefits for persons with handicaps or disabilities. Since I would need to know more specific details, I would recommend checking with your tax preparer. If the situation remains the same as the previous tax filing year, I think it would be safe to assume the deduction for this year would still be available.
