I had a Jehovah witness come to my door a few weeks ago and he asked me if I “ thought things were bad “ . That was his first thing he said after Hello . He then asked if I “ thought things would get better “ I answered “ No” to both questions .
Yes Drivingdaisy , some do want this . They apparently do not want a Democracy anymore . They should be the ones leaving the country instead. We are losing citizens , leaving to go to other countries , including college professors , experts in the constitution . Others are experts on fascism . That’s a sign .
Peggy, I completely understand your upsetness , I don't disagree, and I could have much much to say, but I won't., because we are a forum to help people, and going back and forth arguing with people that may never see what is happening is not going to make anything better.

It really helps me to know that there are people like me in the world. Musk is trying to shut down the left on reddit but no luck yet. This is a forum to help people not to argue about politics. You should try Reddit, it has helped me a lot, vent out my issues with what is happening to are constitution. Also, I will educate myself on the world, then I back off, no news for days. It has really helped my political anxiety. There is very little we can do at this point, we can't right now, let it get us so upset it destroys are mental health, and give the oligarchy what they want.
My advice is boycott Everything political for a few days, then join Reddit, chat with like minded people there.
The GOP could be deciding to cut non emergency services to illegals immediately. Which likely means that if you’re not a citizen or a green card holder, you’re likely in imminent trouble.

Social media , the press etc all contribute to this problem and certain politicians take advantage of that.
It isn’t even all about differing opinions or division , it’s that people are misinformed .
If just enough people were more informed about truths , things would be different .
